Anatomy & Physiology is the study of the structure and workings of the human body.
This course examines the formation and structure of the body and the various systems within it. An understanding of anatomy and physiology is essential for all those working in
complementary therapy and sports therapy. When treating clients the knowledge of the structure and function of the various systems of the body ensures that the correct treatment is administered and contraindications are recognised.
This six months course leads to an I.T.E.C. Diploma in Anatomy & Physiology. This course is taught concurrently with Holistic Massage or can be taken as a single module.
Anatomy and Physiology is the foundation upon which all Beauty, Complementary and Sports Therapies are based and allows the student to go on to practical courses such as Holistic Massage, Reflexology and Indian Head Massage.
